Alberto Del Bimbo
DIRECTOR
The MICC center is headed by Alberto Del Bimbo, full Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Florence. His research interests address analysis and interpretation of images and videos and their applications, with particular interest at content-based retrieval in visual and multimedia digital archives, advanced videosurveillance and target tracking, and natural man-machine interaction assisted by computer vision.
Roberto Caldelli
HEAD RESEARCHER
ICL team di coordinated by Roberto Caldelli. His main research activities, witnessed by several publications, include digital image processing, interactive television, image and video digital watermarking, and multimedia forensics. He holds two patents in the field of content security and multimedia interaction.
Irene Amerini
POST-DOC RESEARCHER
Her research interests are mainly focused on digital image processing, multimedia content security technologies, secure media and multimedia forensics, in particular she works on source identification, image and video forgery detection.
Rudy Becarelli
ASSISTANT RESEARCHER and DEVELOPER
He is expert in design and development of J2EE applications for data exchange and marshalling with rich client platforms. He has also experienced OAI-PMH server development, digital library customization and profiling, MHP application development and optimization.
Matteo Casini
ASSISTANT RESEARCHER and DEVELOPER
His main research activity is concerned with the study and development of media security tools for mobile applications and for the distribution of multimedia in interactive environments. He is expert of Java and Android programming, interactive TV.
Paolo Mazzanti
ASSISTANT RESEARCHER
His research interests focus on graphic/web design, multimedia applications and Cultural Heritage digitization, creative ideas for museum learning, audience & digital engagement.
