Andrea Del Mastio

Andrea Del Mastio graduated in Electronic Engineering in 2002, and received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunication from the University of Florence, Florence, Italy, in 2006.

From July 2004 till June 2011, he has been an Assistant Researcher with the Media Integration and Communication Center, University of Florence; from July 2011 till June 2013, Assistant Researcher with the Dept. of Clinical Physiopathology of the University of Florence. From July 2014 till now he is an Assistant Researcher with the Media Integration and Communication Center, University of Florence.

His main research activities include digital image processing, with particular reference to Cultural Heritage, data hiding, and multimedia forensics.

“Actually, I am an un-conventional engineer, involved in Image Processing and working in the Cultural Heritage and in the connection between Art and Technology. … ’cause Art can benefit from the Technological field, and the Technological field can be less rational with Art! I’m also involved in the administrative management of projects. I like sport cars and driving; in my free time I’m also a volunteer medical assistant, a chef, a farmer in a vegetable garden.
