The project DanThe involved design and development of a regional website to collect information about digital collections regarding Cultural Heritage, produced by different cultural institutions (museums, libraries, archives, universities). The project is promoted by the Tuscany Region and it is related to other national and international projects working on cultural heritage (Michael Project, Project Minerva, CulturItalia). According with the guidelines of Michael Project, DanThe select digital collections regarding people, works and cultural heritage of Tuscany, promoted, financed or produced by Tuscan institutions and regional offices of national or foreign institutions. The System is able to harvest automatically end to interoperate with other external systems using a specific protocol (OAI-PMH) The close cooperation between national Michael Project, the regional cataloguers and editors of DanThe allowed to personalize the presentation and the fruition of these digital resources.
